Founded in 1987, General Discount Stores were part of the few retailers who recognized the possible opportunities in discount retailing. Having grown from 3000 sq. ft. of saleable area in 1987 to over 100,000 sq. ft. today, General Discount has established itself as a one-stop discount retailer in many areas of Southern California. We pride ourselves on the fact that we are able to provide such a store to communities and cities who greatly benefit from our existence. We also understand that our customers have extremely busy lives so we keep our stores open 7 days a week, 364 days a year. Although we have many years of experience in the field of retailing we are always ready and willing to listen to new ideas. We realize that our communities in which we operate might have a wealth of ideas and opinions that might help us better our services and operations.
